How much does a Wix website cost in the UK?

Wix says displayed prices are for yearly subscriptions paid in full at the time of purchase, that other subscription periods are available, and that prices exclude applicable taxes, set by your billing address. Most premium plans include a free domain voucher for one year, valid only for a new domain bought from Wix. Wix offers a 14-day money-back guarantee.
On top of the plan, budget for your time. Wix gives you the tools; building the site and keeping it up to date is your job, or a designer's, and Wix's site points to its own marketplace for hiring one.
Is Wix a good website builder?
For many people, yes. On its own plans page, Wix lists:
- a drag-and-drop editor and more than 2,000 templates;
- AI tools that can create a site from a single prompt;
- business tools for taking payments, online stores and bookings on Core and above;
- 24/7 customer care.
The things to weigh up:
- You do the work. Building, updating, fixing and keeping it current all fall to you.
- It stays on Wix. Wix's help centre says a Wix site must be hosted on Wix's servers, so it can't be moved to another host. Your domain can move; the site can't.
- The free plan is limited. Wix branding, and no custom domain.
- Costs climb with features. Payments, shops and bookings start on the higher plans.

When Wix is the better choice
- You enjoy building and tweaking things yourself, and have the time.
- You need to sell products online or take bookings and payments on your own site.
- Your budget is under £25 a month.
When Upkept is the better choice
- You'd rather spend your evenings on anything but a website.
- You want changes made for you, the same day, just by asking.
- You want hosting, security, backups and support handled in one bill.
- You use a booking app already and only need the site to link to it.
Moving from Wix to Upkept
Because a Wix site can't leave Wix's servers, moving means rebuilding, which is what we do anyway. We use your current site as the starting point so nothing important is lost.
