For hairdressers, barbers and beauty salons

Websites for hairdressers, barbers and beauty salons

Your regulars already book on an app and follow you on Instagram. Your website is where new clients check your prices, your services and your hours before they book. We build it in 24 hours and look after it for £99 a month.

What customers look for

What new salon clients look for

New clients compare salons on their phone, often in the evening, often after seeing your work on Instagram. They want a few answers before they book.

Prices, clearly

A price list by service, and by stylist level if your prices differ. Clients who can see prices can book without ringing to ask.

A way to book now

Most salons already take bookings through an app. A Book now button on every page that goes straight to it turns a visit into a booking.

Your work

Cuts, colours and styles like the one they want. Your site can link to your Instagram, where your best work already lives.

The team

Who'll be doing their hair or treatment, and what each person specialises in.

Opening hours

Late nights and Saturdays are when people book. Clear hours, kept current, save phone calls.

Your policies

Deposits, cancellations and allergy tests, written down before anyone books.

Sample site

A sample salon site

The shape of the home page we'd build you. The salon here is made up.

  • A Book now button in the header and the hero, linked to the booking app you already use.
  • A headline that says what you do and where.
  • A trust line for what matters to new clients: allergy testing, location, late nights.
  • Your main services up front, with prices one tap away.
  • Opening hours, marked up so search engines can read them.
The details

The details that matter for salons and barbers

What helps a new client choose you. We only ever show what you tell us is true.

Your booking app, linked

Upkept doesn't take bookings itself. Your Book now buttons go to the booking app you already use, so your diary stays in one place.

A price list you change in seconds

Put prices up, add a treatment or run an offer by asking. The change shows on the site once you approve it.

Allergy alert tests

Most hair colour makers' instructions call for an allergy alert test 48 hours before colouring. Tell clients how to book one.

Barbers: walk-ins or appointments

If you take walk-ins, say when you're quietest. If it's appointments only, say so on the home page.

Beauty treatments

Nails, lashes, brows, facials and waxing, each with what's involved, how long it takes and the aftercare. If a treatment needs a licence or registration with your council, say you have it.

Built for search

Your site is marked up for search engines with what you do, your phone number, your hours and where you are.

Change it by chat

Things salon owners ask their site to do

No editor and no waiting for a web designer. Type what you want, see a preview of exactly what will change, and tap approve. Nothing goes live until you say so, and any change can be undone.

Beyond the website

Getting more bookings from your website

Your website works best as the place everything else points to.

  • Put your web address in your Instagram bio and on your Google Business Profile.
  • Make the Book now button the first thing people see.
  • Keep prices and hours current; it saves the calls that interrupt a client.
  • Show real reviews, with your clients' permission.
  • Give each service you want more of its own page: balayage, bridal, men's grooming.

FAQ

Salons ask us

Can clients book through the website?

Your Book now buttons can go straight to the booking app you already use. Upkept doesn't run a booking calendar itself, so your appointments stay in one place.

Can I show my prices?

Yes. Your price list can be a page of its own, by service and by stylist level, and you can change any price by asking.

Do you build websites for barbers and beauty salons too?

Yes. The same service works for barbers, nail technicians, lash and brow artists and beauty salons. We write the pages around the services you offer.

Can I sell gift vouchers on the site?

Upkept doesn't take payments on your site. If your booking app or an online shop sells your vouchers, we can link to it; otherwise the site can say how to buy them in the salon.

What about photos of our work?

Your site can link to your Instagram, where your best work already lives, and you can upload your logo from your dashboard. If showing your own photos on the site matters to you, email us before you sign up and we'll tell you exactly what we can do today.

How much does a salon website cost?

Upkept is £99 a month with no setup fee, on a 12-month initial plan, then month to month. Our cost guide compares that with DIY builders and one-off builds. Read the website cost guide.
