How Upkept handles your information. Written in plain English, because that's the point.

What we collect

When you get in touch or sign up, we collect the details you give us: your name, business name, email, phone number, your chosen domain, and anything you tell us about your business so we can build your site. If you become a customer, we also hold your website content and the changes you request.

Why we collect it

To build and run your website, to reply to your enquiry, to take payment for your plan, and to keep you updated about your service. We don't sell your details, and we don't share them with anyone for their marketing.

How long we keep it

For as long as you're a customer, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Enquiry details from people who don't go on to sign up are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.

Where it lives

Your data and your website are hosted in the UK. Your site uses no third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Visit counts are recorded privately, without identifying anyone.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold, correct it, or have it deleted, at any time. Email hello@upkept.site and we'll sort it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're not happy with how we've handled things.

This is a plain-language summary for the pilot. A full data protection notice will accompany our commercial launch.
